samg23: Personally, for your wife and her own safety, I would book the bulkhead. It's a long flight(and if the f/a feels unsafe with her there, you may have to change seats) and you don't want to risk her being injured if there is an emergency. The way people are, she may get trampled unecessarily if there is some type of emergency.
