The FAA moves in strange and mysterious ways, so no telling why the restrictions so far in advance. Supposed to be nice here at ORD, though, so I'm guessing the Pacific storm has more to do with it. The runways at SFO aren't far enough part for parallel operations with restricted visibility, and ATC there has been accused of implementing flow control if there was a single cloud spotted somewhere over the state.
