CI Adds Flights to BKK and LAX

Press Release
In response to strong market demand, China Airlines will increase flights on the Kaohsiung-Bangkok and Taipei-Los Angeles routes in April and May, respectively. The new flights will provide greater convenience for passengers traveling to Thailand, and to the west coast of the USA.

Starting April 4, two weekly flights will be added to the Kaohsiung-Bangkok route. The newly added flights CI 697 will depart every Tuesday and Thursday at 07:40 from Kaohsiung, and arrive in Bangkok at 10:00. Return flight CI 698 will leave Bangkok every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:00 and arrive in Kaohsiung at 15:20. Including these new flights, China Airlines now operates 9 flights per week on the Kaohsiung-Bangkok round trip route, up from the original 7 flights per week. A code share cooperation with Thai Airways International is also available on this route.

China Airlines will also add two weekly evening flights to the Taipei-Los Angeles route. Beginning on May 17, newly added flight CI 028 will depart every Wednesday and Sunday at 23:30 from Taipei, and arrive in Los Angeles the same day at 20:15. Return flight CI 027 will leave Los Angeles every Monday and Thursday at 01:00 and arrive in Taipei at 05:55 the next day.

After the new LAX flights are added, China Airlines will operate a very convenient schedule of 16 flights per week on the Taipei-Los Angeles route, up from the original 14 flights per week, all using modern B747-400 passenger jets. China Airlines also has a code-share cooperation with Delta Air Lines that passengers can use to fly from Los Angeles onward to New York, Boston, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Salt Lake City, Orlando, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale and Honolulu.
