I'm flying MDW-IND on Tuesday because AA/UA each only have one ERJ that arrive before 11am, and all the fares are $250+ one-way. I'm flying WN back because it's worth the flexibility to take any flight on Wednesday for only the modest upcharge of something like $17. I fly Southwest about 4-5 segments per year on trips where the 500 status miles from UA/AA doesn't mean enough compared to the lack of change fees.

I also get about 14 credits per year from Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites stays, although now that award tickets are capacity controlled, I'm not sure if I'll be continuing that pattern.
