Stayed here recently. It's the new HGI on South 64th Street in West Des Moines. I was told it's only been open 2-3 weeks. The hotel itself looks finished, but the landscaping hasn't been done yet.

This is one of the new-style HGI's - dark woods, black (granite?) counters, etc. Even from the outside it doesn't look like your typical HGI - darker colors and LOTS of rock on the exterior walls. In fact, I drove right by it since it looked so unlike a normal HGI.

As a Gold I received the $5 pantry coupon. No water (I don't think it's a listed benefit anymore, actually) and no breakfast coupons (initially). The front desk girl was happy to provide the breakfast coupons later when I asked about them.

Nice, new property. Friendly staff. I would stay here again.
