If you want a quadband phone, there are many phones that are better than the v557, for example the SonyEricsson z520a.

If you want a phone that is a good music player too and you are willing to settle for triple band, you'll probably want something different than a ROKR phone. In all honesty it is not a good phone. Samsung, Nokia and Sony Ericsson all have phones that are far better. I like the Sony Ericsson W800i, but it is not sold through Cingular or T-Mobile so you would have to get one somewhere else and then sign up for T-Mobile or Cingular service. Since the operator won't subsidize the initial price of the phone your initial investment is going to be bigger, but on the other hand you get a phone that is very good and is not locked to a specific operator.
