MY reading of this is that even though bmi award only 25% of miles flown, Aeroplan awards a minimum of 500 Qmiles.
I flew from LHR to BRU in January in V class and was awarded 125 Qmiles and then sent AE an email saying that they should honor their website statement of awarding a minimum 500 miles.
After a few email exchanges they came thru with the 500 Qmiles as a good will jesture
