Looking at the Clark County Marriage License Site, it appears that you have to go to a place other than the "Elvis Chapel of Love" or wherever to get the marriage license. Did your friend do that? Or at least, does she remember?

There's an online application, but then it looks as if both parties have to bring the printed papers in to the office. I don't think there's any way to avoid going to the county clerk's office (which is open until midnight every night, and all night Saturday - what a place).
