Last month I volunteered to give up my seat on a Delta flight from Atlanta to Knoxville and was given a $ 450.00 voucher (had to wait between 3 and 4 hours for next open flight. Yesterday hubby wound up on two overbooked Comair flights and volunteered to give up his seats on both, the first he had to wait almost 3 hours for next flight and be shuttled to another airport (BWI to DCA) for this he was given a $250.00 voucher. Upon arriving in CVG he was told they did not have a seat for him afterall, this flight was overbooked as well (even though he was confirmed) so he said what the heck, he would just volunteer again and take another flight. The next one out was not till this morning, hense they put him up for the night, but again gave him only $ 250.00. Agent said this was Max they could give. Trust me, I am NOT complaining as the almost $ 1000.00 in vouchers goes a LONG way when you are flying entire family of 4 on vacation... I am just curious...do the max amounts differ between Delta and Comair?
