The OP definitely needs to report that snoozing slacker of an employee.

It's Wed 3/29, I'm staying at the Hampton Inn Garden Grove, room 706 and it's pretty darn quiet. Seems they are in the midst of remodeling. The doors and carpets look brand new. Front desk has been very friendly and helpful... so far
