The first two flights I used my Alaska Airlines Mileage plan number, and the BA miles were deposited into my AA Mileage plan account. After looking at my balance, flying BA with Alaska doesn't give you status on Alaska - I should have read this before.

My question is - is there a way to still sign up for the executive club right now - and would it be possible to get the miles on the BA exec club from the last two trips? I'm assuming now since I already applied them to Alaska, but doesnt hurt to ask the travel pros
From the BA EC Joining Information page: to join the EC you must be age 18 or above and have taken a quallifying flight in one of the fare classes indicated within the last three months. Fare classes include WT+ (W or T class), WT (Y, B or H class) and CW (J, C, D or I class).

If you've flown CW, you will be eligible to join. According to Your Questions at ba.com, you may earn BA miles and tier points for eligible flights taken on BA up to three months before your enrolment date. No credit will be given for air partner flights flown prior to your enrolment.

If you flew on BA metal and in one of the qualifying fare classes, you should be all right. You'll need your ticket number (should be on your e-ticket receipt) and boarding pass (just in case). Try on-line enrolment, and see what happens. If you fly once a month in CW in four months, you'll have enough tier points to be Silver - lucky you! ^
