FWIW, I was speaking to one of the ticketing agents in AUS a few weeks ago, and she said they will be laying off ticketing agents, but the layoffs will be part-time employees. They plan on making up some of the difference by converting certain part-timers to FTEs.

I think this is probably pretty accurate, as this TA has always been spot on in the past.

As for the A/C, I can't imagine it would be closing: the AUS lounge seems to be one of the better-utilized lounges in a city our size. Also, Austin has a disproportionate number of premium pax. If they're going to close a lounge, I would assume Kansas City, or another under-utilized lounge would be more likely...
