A few months ago, when I was speaking with a SQ agent regarding the SilkAir flight, she asked me if I wanted to make my seat assignments for JFK to Singapore. I requested 17H, K and she said the seats were secured for all legs. Just recently, I was speaking to another SQ agent (about seat assignments for the SilkAir flight) and when that discussion was done I asked the agent to confirm our seats were still secured on the JFK to Singapore legs. Surprise, surprise! 17H, K now belonged to someone else. And there was no record in "the history" of us ever having seat assignments or even requests for specific seats.

The equipment did not change.
The flight numbers did not change.
The flight times did not change more than 5 minutes.

So what happened? Did a PPS or other SQ elite come along and give us the boot? How rude! I thought they were only supposed to be guaranteed 17 A, C. We are now relegated to 18 H, K unless, of course, we get booted out of those too.

What do you all think happened?
Wow..I have 17K on a flight from SFO-HKG-SIN on a Delta Award in October. I hope that doesn't happen to me!
