No, it's that blank sheet of paper with the swirly FC at the top waiting in the handy little pop-out drawer below your PTV! I certainly wrote letters on my SQ F flights last December and January, simply for the novelty of it. It brings back that certain romanticism about flying, especially long-haul. It's plainly retro, and that's the point! I wrote postcards to friends and a letter or two from aboard SQ 1, placing the date, flight, and approximate location at the top of the note as a reminder. My friends definitely appreciated it.

If I know I'll have enough time and local currency in the arrival station, I'll post it myself. That's easy at Changi, but at Chek Lap Kok finding that little machine near the Disney store and figuring out how much postage you need is nearly impossible.

If the practice has changed, it's kind of disappointing but not necessarily surprising. For the cost of a C or F ticket, though, SQ ought to be able to spring for a couple of local stamps and not put the burdne on their FA's who want to maintain the superior level of service they've always given. Kudos to the FA's who do it.
