Definitely agree that LAX continues to be a zoo, and that there is no guarantee to any elite member that they will encounter a smooth check-in or security line.

I flew Friday afternoon. The elite security line between T6 and T7 (the line which used to be against the wall) is gone. The elite security line on the T7 side (which feeds in to the same T6/T7 security bank, just from the T7 side) was so long that it was blocking the entrances to all of the T7 elite check-in lines and baggage check kiosks. Chaos, really.

Went upstairs to the bridge line, which was open but very confusing as to where elites were supposed to go. Checked with the agent at the front of the line and she pulled back the rope and let us "cut" the line, but nothing was well marked.

One of the perks of being elite should be that wherever possible, there is some consistency that you will be able to check in and clear security without too much hassle. Long lines may sometimes be unavoidable, but at least the lines and options should be well marked. Sadly, at LAX, there seems to be no consistency at all.
