I'm at the IC Manila now, and just received an under-door flyer saying there will be a major renovation from April 1 to September 30. During that time, the hotel will remain open with limited guestrooms, and so Ambassador upgrades may not be available. As an alternative, the hotel will offer a one-way complimentary airport transfer (value about US$34).

By the way, when checking in I was given an upgrade from a Deluxe King to a large corner suite. Alas, it was on the smoking floor and when I got there I could tell I wouldn't be happy due to the residual smell. So I went back to the front desk, and they gave me a regular room on the Club floor instead, with lounge privililges.
