But if you're intending flying other airlines PPS is worthless since you already have *Gold. And since you're not flying SQ first/business you wont be able to double dip if you're flying SQ. So at best you get 1 year's status of PPS (unless you renegotiate deal again) for little extra benefit.

If you want to credit to UA I suggest you look carefully at the pluses and minuses. The best earning on mileage plus is when you have status and fly UA. Flying economy on SQ and crediting to UA wont get much extra that you dont get already - some cheaper awards and some more expensive, but probably lower priority for SQ op-ups.

If you really are earning 250k status miles a year in economy (ouch) then I'd probably split my earning (and flying) across several carriers in order to maximise the benefits. On some routes one FFP will earn more than another and vice versa, on some redemptions one FFP will cost less than another and vice versa. By having more than one you can get more out of your travel. You should consider whether any extra FFP will be in the same alliance (handy if nearly all your flying is same alliance) or a different alliance (great flexibility if some places you go arent well served by one alliance but against this lose some arbitrage opportunities). I do this and it works well for me.
Thanks for your advise. I think I need to split my mileage between SQ and Air France from now on.

Yes. 250K in economy is crazy. I spent most of my weekend on flight (which I am going to board soon). My job requires me to travel to meet customers. With 200 global customers to visit per quarter, I have to fly like a bird. By next 2 weeks, I will have another ~30K miles (SFO-FRA-LYN-MUC-FRA-SIN-HKG-SIN-PVG-HKG-NRT-HKG-SFO).
