If this companion fare cert works this will be the best deal to HNL by far, which is why I think there may be added restrictions in the future.

If AS is going to put all this money into ETOPS training and equipment, they won't be able to give away the store with companion fares, MVP/G upgrades, plentiful award seats, etc. Plus, it sounds like they may have upgraded meals as well, which may mean that they will ask for premium level fares. Of course, we won't know until the service actually is announced, but don't get your hopes up. You will be disappointed if you have extremely high expectations.
