My local Safeway became a full on Morrisons last year and has gone so seriously downhill, that I stopped shooping there on an irregular basis. They no longer sell the same stuff that they used to and have substiuted Morrisons own brand instead in some cases. They also weren't open as often over the Christmas and New Year period as Safeway were the year before, which was very annoying, I ended up one evening at a Budgens B2 as a result Safeway used to do reduced hours over the festive period, not close down for days on end.

Some people might like looking at fish getting their heads chopped off at the fish counter, but I'm not one of them, whichever reason that is. Have to agree about the express line being a joke, the Safeway had a 5 Items or less as well as baskets only tills, after the conversion, they didn't (have you seen how much an OAP can fit into one basket).

Then again Safeway/Morrisons was always a "can't be arsed to go all the way to Tesco" shop for me.
