. If you run the Tool in its native environment, it will run much better.
In fact, a few days ago, I tried running it on an
i486/0.120 GHz system (circa ~1993), and it still ran with an acceptable speed.
The Tool is as emulator/Mac-friendly as it can be, e.g. the right-clicking has been replaced with double-clicking/keyboard shortcut to accommodate Mac users, but that's probably the most I can do at this point ...
