Based on the information we know, if you received the 5K offer, and send it in, you should receive 5K miles. If you didn't personally receive the 5K offer (presumable AA/Lincoln knows based on your AAdvantage #), you may get nothing, you may get some miles, or you may get 5,000 miles.
I think he meant Botched from Lincoln's perspective. They must not have realized that although they will get lots of people in thier dealership, no salesperson really wants to waste their time. So the number actually doing the test drive goes down considerablly. Of course, those that do take it probably have a certain % chance of considering the car in the future.
