Very annoying thing is that to cancel a partner award it is the $50 cancellation fee (okay, this is understandable) and then an additional $20 telephone service fee, despite that this reward CANNOT be cancelled on-line. Not very pleased about this as I had to cancel my JL booking earlier today....
Those fees on award tickets -- like fuel surcharges -- are annoying. But it's much better than before when partner awards were use it or lose it.

Aren't some of these award-related fees or the telephone service fee geography-based? That is to ask if there are certain countries where it may be better to have your account "reside"?
