Not sure what is so botched about a promotion that's allowing us to get between 2,750 and 5,250 miles for almost no work at all.
Based on the information we know, if you received the 5K offer, and send it in, you should receive 5K miles. If you didn't personally receive the 5K offer (presumable AA/Lincoln knows based on your AAdvantage #), you may get nothing, you may get some miles, or you may get 5,000 miles.
