I've never checked the actual receipt I receive when I return my car to the amount charged to my credit card - but from what it sounds like, maybe I should start doing it. However, I have checked the actual receipt to the estimated charges that Hertz gives you when you book on their website. For the most part, the numbers always match up but on occasion the numbers do swing a little either way.
