The exit rows and bulkhead rows are set aside for medallion members when you purchase on-line. Not sure (if) they are open up for non-medallions when getting close to flight time. Of course the GAs can assign these to anyone.
Previously as a Silver, I was still upgraded the majority of the time (>80%).
