As delpreston correctly notes with the system now: two spurts of background noise and you're off to the main desk. On the plus side, I'm getting caught up again with the CO theme music.
I hear your on that, I have become so acustomed to talking to IVR, when I hear it I put on my "IVR Voice" - terrible, but ti works most of the time.
A great IVR system is 1-800-555-TELL - works very well (provides free news and other info).
