After reading a very positive review about the Jabra BT250, and deliberating on many other FT reviews, comments and suggestions, I decided to get the 250. The particular model was the BT250v - includes the vibrating alert. I picked it up at Best Buy for $90. The single most determining factor for me, was the behind-the-ear design - including an in-ear gel piece. I just couldn't see something hanging off the side off my ear and being effective. Just didn't seem like any of those models would be stable enough unless sitting absolutely still.

Anyway, I don't have any real-world experiences using it yet(read, airport, etc), but last night in my hotel room after letting it charge, I paired it with my Razr and tried it out. I must say that the 'comfort and fit' factor on my ear was definitely what I was expecting. It felt very snug and secure behind my ear (and the gel-piece in my ear) without feeling bulky and awkward. I made one call to my wife, and the volume and clarity was outstanding. I didn't notice any static, but then the Razr was just a few feet away too. I'll have to perform more test with the phone being further away. Normally, my phone will be on my belt, or jacket pocket. In fact, I had to turn down the default volume level to a much lower level. Granted, I wasn't in a noisy airport, but I fly out tonight, so will get a chance to use it under normal airport conditions.

It uses a built-in rechargeable battery, and comes complete with a charging cradle and adapter. Just what I needed - another adapter to haul around. It's very small though. I wish they had made it rechargeable via USB. That would have been a nice feature. Jabra claims about 7 hours of talk time and 200 hours in standby mode. That should be more than enough for my normal use habits.

The build quality looks and appears good, but time will tell how well it holds up in a true road warriors bag! I'll report back after a week or so of use, and see if I'm still impressed.
