I've flown Spirit a few times and while it's service was competent, it was certainly no better than NW's. The Airbii are new, but as with NW, there's no IFE. Their new FF program does not impress me in the least. Finally, they have an extremely limited number of routes. The benefits of Gold status on NW would far outweigh any minimal savings acheived by flying Spirit.
