I really don't get the point. I just don't understand how some of you think I was "comparing one carriers economy class to another's business class" in my OP. I only alluded to a comparison once really, and I even qualified it by saying that they were not comparable

To quote directly from my OP:

This was clearly a coach to coach comparison. I then followed it with

A pretty clear acknowledgement that it was not an apples to apples comparison.
Now to be fair I did say:

Here though I wasn't really comparing products, just commenting on how I've gotten "spoiled" with extra legroom.
Somehow I think chalf, Miami, and TPA us ff got misled by my post which confuses me as I re-read my post because I'm not sure how I could've been so unclear. Anyway, my intention was not to compare US Envoy to VA PE other than to say that an UG cert to Envoy on a coach fare is definitely nicer than VA's PE product IMO. The one thing that this confusion has illustrated is that VA PE product is an ECONOMY product, not a middle tier "business class" product out of a 3 tier system. They simply have 2 economy products and a truly First Class product, wheras some airlines have 3 tiers that are more distinct. I knew that going in, and was not disappointed by it, other than no EMPOWER which the US A330 even has in coach.
