"many of our diamond club partner hotels can be booked through our site, however as the discounts are so great, sometimes the rate will not qualify to earn destinations miles"

... which I take to mean that you only get destination miles with partners (Hilton, Jurys etc) and in some cases you may not even get miles with them.
