Sure, but I could give a couple of other "examples":
- If your option is buying economy plus on UA or using an upgrade cert on US, you are far better off using an upgrade on US to Envoy.
- If your option is buying economy on US or using a VIP upgrade on AA, you are far better off using an upgrade on AA to Business.
- If your option is buying economy on DL or using a SWU on UA, you are far better off using an upgrade on UA to Business.
Get the point? There is no point in comparing one carrier's economy class to another's business class.
