When airlines run one of these promotions on a grocery item (Coke for various rewards, Kellogg's or Dannon for AA miles, etc.) and there is a good deal going, has anyone ever approached a distributor/bottler directly to try to buy a pallet or truckload of the specific item?

Did it work out, or are you just as well off waiting for a supermarket chain to have a sale?

I know Pudding Guy's story, but as I recall, he bought retail.

Not that this would necessarily be a great idea, unless you had a warehouse and a resale certificate, which I do.
