The other day I booked an itn for July. By mistake I had my return oinAugust rather then July (when my seceretary was putting it on the calendar she wondered why I was gone for a whole month rather then 3 days). I called UA. I was 17 minutes over the 24 hour period. The agent said he had to charge me $100.00 to change just the last segment from August to July. He spoke to his supervisor who told him to charge me. He suggested that I connect with a supervisor and see if they would waive the fee for the 17 minutes. I spoke to one, and she changed the month (no different routing or anything) for free. I asked her why she did it without any grief unlike the other supervisor. She said she looked at my UA record, 940,000 miles lifetime miles, eigth consecutive year as 1K and over 2 million FF miles and she said as far as she was concerend it was a "no brainer". Guess the other supervisor would not have agreed! It is 24 hours, not midnight!
