Award tickets on AC are all electronic these days, however you will get a paper confirmation in about a week or so, that is essentially the print out of the .pdf file included in the e-mail. It'll save you the trouble of printing a copy to take to the airport with you. (You won;t need it to travel, but its always a good idea to carry a hard copy)

I travelled on AC to LHR/HAM and returned from MUC and the award tickets were paper.This was in January of this year.MUC is the problem.(long thread on that one)For clarification,Doc Fraud.
