I don't know what gold cards get, but I am
always getting tons of double miles promotions, in addition to the "always double miles" stuff with my
plat card. I've used the 10,000 MQMs for hitting the 25k spending level to help me requalify for PM regularly. That alone to me makes it worth it. It's a good deal for me, AXP gets me putting pretty much everything on that card (I guess I could stop at 25k but I don't
), and DL gets the money from AXP to make that offer. That's what I call a win/win/win scenario. I do agree that I've not made much use of the companion certificate.
