NNH, good luck with the race sounds like good fun and glad the route seems to be easy to locate with the handhelds.

I am currently researching GPS devices and have heard great things about the TomTom line. Will you be switching between vehicles during the race? You mentioned that you are looking for a handheld, but I've heard that many people use GPS units between multiple cars- just pick it up and move it.

BTW I'm considering one myself so would appreciate any thoughts on them. The new models coming out, 510 and 910, are iPod compatible (pretty cool, eh),
