Well sort of. I attempted to book an award stay at Le Meridien Changi Village on website. It is listed as category 1 2000/3000pnts per night. When I selected on the website I received error message indicating I needed to call or try again. Tried again with no luck so called.

I called platinum concierge who checked status of hotel. She found they do not offer a standard room for 3000 points, you must take an upgrade to executive king deluxe for 6000 points.

So anyway...not really available as category one under starwood system.
