I will be on JFK-NRT 3-26 in an L class. My seat is 17C. (is it good?)
I cannot use my SWU or miles because of the fare status. (big mistake)
My question is: what is the chance of getting an op-up? (anyone tried?)
If not, then what is the chance of getting an offer from Mr. Chicken?
Usually how much from Y-C, if offered?
Any other suggestion I should take from the experienced flyers?

My usual routing was from JFK-SFO-NRT-HKG, 6:00 AM departure, but great NRT RCC!
or ORD-HKG (1st time last month) in 18C, great flight and caring FAs!
