In year's past, I freely distributed DL's Above and Beyond cards AFTER a favor had been done, or just simply because the employee was pleasant with a smile. I sure miss those cards!

I got to know a DL supervisor in one station that I frequented over 1-2 years. So, when I learned he had just bought a house, I postally mailed him a gift certificate for Home Depot with a simple note of thanks for his assistance. Next time I saw him, he could not be more appreciative.
