I'd suggest you immediately start giving things away. Traveling is MUCH more fun that way.

On Wednesday, I flew SJC-JFK. When I arrived at JFK, I had to get some tickets refunded, so went over to the ticket desk, and while my agent was refunding the tickets, the agent next to her commented on how hot she was, and that she was 10 minutes away from her next break but was really thirsty.

PRESTO CHANGEO! Out comes a bottle of Evian from my bag, and straight to the agent. Now, keep in mind that this cost me nothing -- it was the bottle AA had just given me for the transcon flight that I had not opened. But, it made her night.

I've also been known to take excessive amounts of chocolate from international FC lounges and given them out to gate agents and FA's.

I'm not doing it because I want something. I'm doing it because these people have thankless jobs and because I enjoy being able to do something to make them smile. Occassionally they remember me and say hi the next time I see them, but that's about all the "special treatment" I usually get for it.
