What is this guy talking about? I'm not really a morning person so I rarely get out for breakfast but I have never ever seen this, does this really happen?
The first part is absolutely true: the wait at the more popular breakfast places can be ridiculously long on the weekends. I completely disagree, however, with the statement that you can get "the same foods" at many coffee shops and diners. While one certainly get competent breakfasts at many coffee shops and diners throughout the city, it's rare to find one that's of comparable quality to the food served at some of the better breakfast places.
That said, I usually will take the coffee shop or diner breakfast over a long wait for one of the popular places.
