29B is directly behind 28B and has no extra space. 29A does. The same applies on the right side, 29J is behind 28J while 29K has space in front of it.

True. I assume Dave meant 29A/K since he went on to say they were behind the 29B/J empty areas.

But now that it's been raised, 29B/J are pretty decent seats because 29A/K have no reason to climb over you to access the aisle. So if the really good seats have been taken, they are an acceptable alternative.

I did once end up with a middle seat in WT+ flying SYD-LHR. It was bad - I think I would rather be in an aisle in WT.
