yeah, not sure if that is how it works in Europe. My TD1 mobile sims, I have two of them one for my car in Germany and one for my mobile. I know I had to give them the IMEI of the car kit and have had problems taking THAT sim of out the car and just sticking it in a phone. The one that I have which is in a mobile phone most of the time, I swap back and forth in multiple phones so there is certainly no issue there.
About six years ago, I lost the phone and SIM and just pulled the SIM from the car kit and stuck it in a handy, and boom the whole service was put on hold. No connections on any network. I ended up having to get all new SIMS from TD1, and give them all the info again.
