We were once woken up at 1:30 am and evacuated from the Dorchester Hotel in London due to a fire in their basement. We had to trek up the road to a neighbouring hotel and camp out in their ballroom for a couple of hours. Since it was the night before our flight out it left us a bit groggy that day. The hotel gave us all a bottle of sparkling wine and reduced everyone's bill by 50% for that night. I thought that was fair.
