The MarketTrak surveys are now done via email. If your flt is chosen the FA's will pass out a card with the info needed for you to provide feedback to UAL.

The purser isn't the other FA's supervisor, they're the liaison between the captain and all the other FA's. They do set a tone thru leadership and consistency for the other crew members to follow but it's not in their duties to rate other crew member's job performance. UA does send supervisors and ghost riders on flights to rate the perfomance of the crew. The best way for the pax to have their voice heard is to write to WHQ when have great or lees then par service. You don't even need the FA's name or base. If you letter includes the flt # and date ( I wound add the cites if it's a thru flt) and UA can look up who was on that flt.

I agree with many of the FT post on this issue but the seniorty system is the best way to award the flts. For example you may find a great FA on a flt from ORD-SEA in Y while they would provide great service on any trip assigned it doesn't mean that they want to fly/work in a different cabin or int'l route. Many FA's bid for the most days off in a month or they have family they can visit during the layover, or just 1 leg each day, NO TED trips or widebodies, the list goes on and on. That's one of the things that makes this job fun. Everyone has their own idea of what is a great trip to them is, and if you happen to work with a bad apple it's rare that you would ever have to work with them again.
