i'd recommend Apple, but if you have to stick to x86 and windows, I think
thinkpads are the best. I have three of them, and one of them is badly beaten.
its been dropped a few times, stepped over.. the frame is falling apart now, but
its still fully functional.
Not to mention its relatively light.
