You may have to uninstall the "Star Alliance Auto Update Conduit" as well, if you're doing this from the Windows Control Panel. (Haven't tried this myself, though.) If you know someone who's a PC guru, taking out the StarUpdater entry from the Registry using RegEdt32 (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\CurrentVers ion\Run) should do the same thing, but dabbling with the Registry Editor should only be done by someone who knows what they are doing.
