I am flying to PVG in July and my companion is flying down from GLA to LHR the day before.

We are then both off to PVG on AY the following day.

He will have a full J baggage allowance, 2 hand baggage and 30K of checked weight?

Will I have called BA and they have said that the charge will be £15.00 per extra item of baggage, is this still true or will BA move to a per kilo charge rate that will cost a fortune?

OT Second question(s), neither of us have any status on BA (yet) so flying on AY business class can we access BA's lounge? Or is it some other lounge in T1? If so is it any good?
