I often check for lower hotel and auto rental rates before traveling. It frequently pays off. I have seen Hertz rates slide from $50 per day + to a low of $17.04 for the same category of vehicle. Makes it drive better, too. Once in a while I will see that the rate has increased a great deal. Warms my heart.
