Merry

and other people who are too busy flying to post here

A friend of the family recently retired but was probably the most frequent flyer I know of. As CEO of large energy firm he was flying LHR-DUS-LHR in CE twice most weeks in addition to flying to JNB twice per month for the day in F. Whenever possible he was on BA but sometimes ended up on SAA. My maths for the above travel alone makes it 17,000 tier points per year He said several weeks per year he was LHR-DUS on Monday, then back to LHR on Tuesday afternoon, catching an evening flight down to JNB arriving in the morning. Flying back into LHR on Wednesday evening, arriving Thursday morning and then straight off to DUS again and returning to London on Friday evening. Given his position within the company I'm surprised he wasn't a Premier. He is still doing his twice monthly jaunt down to JNB though.

He also had a house on the Cote d'Azur but despite all his BA miles and rather hefty salary he elected to fly Easyjet I thought that was hilarious!
